Hi Dennis, just dropped by to say hello and whine about buying gear for the kinds of rides and seasons keeping me broke LOL!
For now it's long johns under summer gear, but i could use your advise on choosing a leather jacket. I can only spend about $200 for one right now, and that means buying off shore which I really hate doing....maybe it would be better to save my money and buy something better and made in the USA??
I haven't even started seriously checking out pants....leather, chaps, Gore-Tex??
Any advise would be highly appreciated,

    Thanks my friend,
    Dale

Lol no Dennis I was on foot at the river on April 22nd.
My bike accident happened in the middle of my little town(in front of my favorite hardware store, nonetheless) for all to see on April 12th.
    Here's what happened: http://harleytalking.com/showthread....ide-Wumps-Noob
(Went into that same hardware store yesterday, and they've nicknamed me Cap'n Crunch!)
Yah can't wait to get back on the road with a mended wing!

I'm hanging around the house nursing ah sore right shoulder (and going CRAZY) after a low speed noob accident on the 12th then doing MUCH better by the 22nd.

Went to the river with my daughter and promptly ate it going down a 10' root covered bluff on the 22nd was floppin' like ah fish in mid fall trying NOT to land on the same shoulder...of course I DID! instinctively threw out my hand but my shoulder hurt worse than being slammed on the blacktop, CRAP!!

Feeling much better, about ready to go pick up a headlight lens and bike lift and do the checks on the scooter the guys gave me, will see if i can keep me and the bike off the blacktop.
