You would want a shield from 1994-1999 to fit your 98.
The sub-wire harness would be 21-4140 from Drag
Tom, I don’t believe the 06 will work for you. You can get Drag Specialties 2210-0104 and a separate sub-wire harness and it will work on your 98
Ouch. Sorry to hear that. It is always something.
Good to hear she’s up and running
If you bought new, you’d get the updated part#27200003 as they’ve superseded all the prior -08 and -08A parts. They changed vendors and fixed the issues they were having
Tom, there have been a few threads on some other forums regarding folks that have experienced induction module issues with their bikes, mostly 09-11 from what I’ve read. They all describe what sounds like a woodpecker before you hear the fuel pump working. They’ve all had their induction modules replaced, but none took them apart to find what you found. I do believe it has something to do with the fly by wire electronics on the bike that caused it. There’s nothing special to installing them, just make sure everything gets hooked back up accordingly.
Tom if you want to convert your's to a Flat top. I have a KA tactical stripped upper receiver you are welcome to. We would need to make sure yours dose not have larger pins . Some early AR were built to a different standard. Another option would be a low cost upper. That would would not require any Gun tools direct swap out.

Make sure it is a Beretta and not a Taurus . Taurus makes a copy but is no where near the same value. Mag lock is slightly different. Right side of slide will say MOD.92FS-cal.9 Grips on the one in the picture I will send you are laser grips so ignore the CTC. This link may help you. If is a compact 92 value changes. Slide will not say 92 FS ,but 92 compact. http://www.beretta.com/en-us/92-compact/. and this onehttp://www.beretta.com/en-us/firearms/finder/?ds=Pistol#ds=Pistol&mpp=24 start with the second link. What may seem minor can make a big difference in value.
