    Hell's Gate

Steven took us over some awesome roads under clear and sunny skies. Best weather of the trip so far. Gorgeous scenery. Hell's Gate was a super destination. We took the tram over the gorge where we had lunch and enjoyed the view. Best DAY of our trip so far. More later.

    Service and repair

fotboard2.jpgWell yesterday we headed out of Surrey BC and went across the Northern Cascades on route 20. It was cool but no rain. It got colder at the last summit with some snow still left along the sides of the road. We made it to Winthrop, had some pizza and called it a day.

A crazy thing happened when we loaded up in Surrey. l saw a footboard insert laying on the ground and thought someone must have rode by and lost one. But after looking at my bike it was mine. lt had broken off. How nuts is that! And that it would be laying right behind my bike. So l taped it on with packaging tape l got from the hotel. Worked fine.

Today we rode from Winthrop, WA,, then with a brief stop at Grand Coulee Dam, then on to Coeur d'Alene, with a stop of at Lone Wolf Harley Davidson in Spokane for an oil change and a new footboard insert. Also got the bike washed. Gonna meet up with forum Joel later for some grub and story telling.

Thought l posted this, but l guess it didn't go through. Shared a meal and had a great chat with Joel. Good to see you again and l still remember the great ride you shared with me and Marv. Really liked catching up. l'm currently recuperating and trying to sort through over 2500 pics and 40 vids between two phones, two cameras and the Drift movie camera mounted on the bike. More later.
