So ... got everything set up and I go out to buy shock oil, thought of going with 10W. Nowhere to be found!!!! Not a single shop is selling shock oil on this damn Island. Back to search on the computer for alternatives and found that Hydraulic oil is an alternative. Bough ISO 32 Hydraulic which should be equivalent to SAE 10W. Please cry out if I am about to do something stupid putting this oil in!! Click here to enlarge

No I am no engineer but I think it will be OK I would even think of putting in power steering fluid if that's all you have or even jack oil that goes in a hydraulic cylinder. Maybe I am all wet to :/

ISO32 will be a little better in cold weather. When you first fill them with air start out lower than you used be for then fine tune it.

Ok! Not so much cold weather here, coldest I have experienced in this part of Thailand is 64.5 degrees... Click here to enlarge I will use less air, and hopefully I can loose some weight too so I might not need much air at all! Hehe! Again Thanks!

so ... a way easier job than I thought! Found that the left shock had about half the volume of oil of the right shock. Oil in both was dark in color. Replaced with 10W hydraulic oil and the test ride felt fantastic! Purposely fast over speed bumps and she didnt bottom out a single time even though both of us on the bike! Took less than an hour! Almost disappointed how easy it was! Great DIY fix! Cheers!
