    Payton's new helment

Payon's has a nice full coverage HD helmet, it fist great and is very pretty. The problem is the bulk of the helmet and the weight. As her body changes and grows with Her CP the helmet is to much for her neck on long rides.
It weights 3 pounds 8 OZ.
Local HD dealer sells Bell and I think Bell is making some of HD's new ones. So we went shopping last night.
Bell Scout Air. A 100% legal helmet and it weights 2 pounds. Face shield is detachable and has two small visors we plane to try it out today. Along with the light weight it has less than half the bulk. She wanted the flat black.
Tri-Matrix composite shell with the internal EPS liner. The final result is an extremely compact, lightweight helmet that surpasses both DOT and European ECE certification requirements.
Anytime you can take off half the weight it is a good thing.

Very cool. The struggle to find a helmet that is lightweight enough but offers protection is always a challenge.....more so with her CP I’d imagine.

Yes these seem to be a new offering from Bell they are nice. If you don't go for the custom color ones priced in the
$135 -$159 range Not bad at all for a bell

yea she mentioned that. I was surprised when the subject of a new helmet came up she agreed lighter would be better. She said that was more important than looks. This is the one she was wearing .
Cool and functioned great just a bit heavy for her.

Lighter would be better for her. It can be made stylish

Kind of how she put it. My concern was that it be a true helmet. I was shocked to find it is as strong or stronger than the others.
