I think he is asking about a post from Big Dan back in 2011 regarding a comment from his acquaintance named "Hippo"

hmmm, not sure if I can connect those dots - Bobcat shows he has been a member since Jul 2014, but only 5 posts, so obviously a man of few words....perhaps (if it's important to him) he will log-in and elaborate, otherwise all we can do is speculate.

I just bought some stuff off the shelf from O'reilly auto parts. Can't remember. Noticed the new to me Classic was getting hard to shift. I never noticed a leak until it sat for a long time in the garage. After I saw the spot on the ground, I checked the level and there wasn't any on the stick! So I am going to run this gear oil until I can figure where the leak is, and then maybe get some of that pepto bismol lookin stuff.

I run the red stuff also and it was well one good thing my clutch cable going into the transmission cover the threads broke off or ask for it was coming from I know it’s the threads were broke because I tried to tighten the clutch cable and it was quite loose but did not go anywhere so it this point I’m just surmising that the threads are sheared off right at the O ring it drips a little but that way I know there is a problem that’s why I like the red stuff and it is oh so smooth shifting .

Hey Bobcat, Hugo is Hugo Chavez, deceased Dictator of Venz.! He controlled the National oil company, Citgo, which made all Syn 3 products for H-D ! The point is, if you buy H-D Syn3, you're supporting a BAD Man ! I don't know why, H-D uses Citgo, it must be CHEAP ? Me, I have been using AMSOIL since 2004, in ALL my Bikes, Cars, Trucks, yard equipment, etc. ! It's made in Superior, Wi., since 1972 ! Ask Bobby Unser about AMSOIL, He used it in all his Pikes Peak & Indy wins ! Still uses it, if it's good enough for Bobby Unser, it's good enough for me ! Beware, Be Smart, Be Safe, BJ ! Keep America Great ! KAG !

I have been running Formula + in the Trans and Primary with some Lucas Oil Stabilizer for years but am switching to Red Line Products in all 3 holes. I change all 3 holes and spark plugs every 5,000 miles, might be overkill but is cheap to me.

Times change. You discover that some things just do not madder. F+ works just fine for a lot of high mile riders. M1 20/50 all 3 holes works fine for just as many. There is no product with more hype and BS than lubes.
With 3 bikes the last thing I want is a cabinet full of different products, when 1 works just fine . Of course yall that know me know where I stand on the magic hype lube that cures cancer, will bring a blown engine back to life and make you bike run 100 years without failure.
In the end run what helps you sleep at night the bike don't care.
